Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. She is the current president and controlling shareholder of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss comes from California is a member of an exceptionally wealthy family. Jerry Buss' father was an investor in real estate and later owned the Lakers and other sports companies. After her parents split up in 1972, she was convinced that they had abandoned her. At the age 19 she became the General Manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. In the following years, she created the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum, before becoming Vice president of the Lakers. Buss' father died in 2013, and the Lakers were passed down by her as well as five of her siblings by way of an inheritance trust. Each of the siblings had equally many votes. Buss was elected in 2013 to take control for Los Angeles Lakers. Los Angeles Lakers. Buss owns Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles which is an organization that promotes pro wrestling.
