April Ross

April Ross was one of just a handful of women beach volleyball players who have won medals during more than one Olympics. Alix Klineman has become a brand new Olympian and will join her in Tokyo. Ross hopes to win more than her initial Olympic medal. As she is 39 she could have her last chance. Nevertheless, she remains certain of taking top honors. Ross declared on NBC Boston: "If we do our best and even playing well I'm sure we'll be able to win gold." Additionally, I'm going to rely on a bit of luck. Ross was born in California, Costa Mesa in the year 1982. Her parents as well as her sister lived in the area. Ross competed in many sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. In her time as a college athlete, she also played indoor volleyball and track. She was clearly the best in the game of indoor volleyball. As per her biography her high school days, she was a volleyball player as an outside hitter (middle blocker) as well as a setting (outside blocker). She was awarded the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the year in 1999 due to her accomplishments. She also received her the Orange County Athlete of the Year award in volleyball. Ross Klineman and Ross may be working on a project in 2017, but Ross was an experienced athlete at the beach prior to when they came together. In actual, Ross has won several significant tournaments during her time with two partners. One is a volleyball legend. From 2007 until 2013, she was a team together with Jennifer Kessy who more recently served as her and Klineman's coach. Kessy and Ross were a formidable force in the world circuit, winning the 2009 World Championship together. The duo won silver at London's Olympic Games. Misty Maytreanor's legendary team as well as Kerri Jennings took home the gold. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate after Maytreanor's retirement. They both won beach volleyball bronze for the Rio Olympics of the year 2016. After high school and years before she hit the sand professionally, Ross balled out to the Trojans at USC while a collegiate. She had a great run during her time in the college. The year 2000 was her freshman year. was when she won the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman's of the Award and also be named an All-American. Also, she was an integral player in helping the Trojans make their way to the Final Four. Her sophomore year was the time she suffered a tremendous personal setback but managed to be a second All-American. In her last two years of participation in the Trojans team, she led the Trojans to winning a national title each year. Individually she had cemented herself as an all-time legend by winning the 2003-04 Honda Sports Award as the highest ranked female volleyball player. Ross, an USC international relations student was a star in volleyball. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the chance to watch Ross' daughter blossom into an international beach volleyball star. Ross suffered the loss of her mother to breast cancer in the year 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. She is devoted to her late parent. Margie has inspired her in her life and on the beach.
