Jill AND Mary

Jillian Norel Hennessy (born November 25, 1968) is a Canadian actress, singer who made an impact on American television. Her work has received praise for her outstanding performances in the American TV show Law & Order in which she played Claire Kincaid as a prosecutor for three seasons and Crossing Jordan, wherein she portrayed Jordan Cavanaugh the main character for six years. Hennessy was also able to showcase her talents in films like RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. She also created and directed these movies. Hennessy started her acting career with her sister in 1988 as two call-girls in Dead Ringers. Her Broadway debut was with Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story. Later, in RoboCop 3 in 1993 she appeared as Dr. Marie Lazarus. In the following year, her biggest break was when she joined the NBC's sensational show Law & Order to play assistant district attorneys Claire Kincaid. Her three-season stint in the part was an instant hit with viewers. The show ended in 1996. Parker is famous for her performances in movies, series and television shows like RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys by the Side as well as The West Wing Angels of America. The actress was awarded a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and the Emmy Award. Parker also won the Tony Award for Best Actress 2001 in Broadway's play Proof.
