Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz was her father as well as Cynthia Palmer, his mother, were both authors as well as editors. Ryder is a Jew. Ryder believes that her father came from a Jewish origin. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder along with her whole family relocated to Mendocino, California, when Ryder was just seven. The family didn't have electricity. Ryder, who loved reading aged 12 became a book worm due to the fact that Ryder did not have access to television. Ryder began to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was twelve years old. In the year she turned fifteen, she landed her very first role on screen, in Lucas. Ryder endured bullying while in high school. Her acting career, she hoped to help, could have helped her. But it wasn't to come to happen. However, she pushed on with her dream. It was 1988 the year that Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that was her breakthrough. Ryder continued playing characters that made a splash in a variety of films. In 1993, Ryder was nominated two times for Academy Awards.
